In recent years, the national industry of ceramic tile and sanitary ware, represented by ANFACER - Brazilian Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Tiles, Sanitary Ware and Related Products - has reached the state of the art in technological terms, with updated design and high productivity (one of the world´s highest).

Currently, Brazil is one of the main players in the market and occupies the second position in production and consumption of ceramic tiles, in addition to being the seventh in the world scale of exports with businesses in more than 110 countries in all the continents. Likewise, Brazil has wide and active participation in all the world forums of the sector, with recognition of its productive capacity and the quality of it´s products.

Once again, ANFACER (represented by 17 associated companies) participates in the most important moment of the  world design: Milan Design Week. Between April 4 and 9, with the support of Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the Association is present at two exhibitions of the Brazil S / A (Best In Show and Be Brasil), held at the University of Milan (Università Degli Studi di Milano).

ANFACER held the third edition of the "Best in Show - Ceramics of Brasil" Award, during the 15th EXPO REVESTIR, with the aim of enhancing innovation and designing high value-added national products.

Products from 10 different categories were selected by a jury, curated by journalist and design critic Marcelo Lima, composed by journalists Allex Colontonio (Publisher and Editorial Director of GIZ magazine), Fernando Mungioli (Publisher of the Projeto magazine); Fernando Serapião (Editor of Monolito magazine); Eliana Sanches (Editorial Director of Casa Claudia magazine); Ricardo Gaioso (Content Director of Kaza magazine); Thais Lauton (Editorial Director of Casa e Jardim magazine). In it´s first edition, the exhibition Be Brasil, organized by Apex-Brasil, will present pieces from 60 Brazilian companies that highlight the main attributes of national design, among several categories: creativity, innovation and sustainability.
